RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMER INFORMATION

As a residential customer, the most environmentally and economically sustainable way to recycle your food waste is by utilizing a backyard compost bin. Bins can be purchased at your local hardware store, major home improvement stores, online, or in many cases through your solid waste district. And, according to the Department of Environmental Conservation, Vermont state law allows residents who compost at home to dispose of meat and bones in their household trash even after July 1, 2020.
